The place is very clean even their bathroom!!! The dining area is modern, spacious and bright. I like the fact that you cant hear the conversation of the people next to you. The food was tasteful, flavorful and not dissappointing. The price was decent especially if you get that quality food. IT'S WORTH IT! Service was wonderful. Staff were friendly. Ask for Sandy, she's the best! Frannie's Cafe is Onawa's gemstone! You've not been in Onawa if you havent eaten at Frannie's Cafe!

Great small town comfort food. All the staples you expect from a cafe...hot beefs, French Dips, burgers, etc. etc. That hot beef I mentioned is the star of the menu. The beef is tender, the gravy is brown and rich, and mashed potatoes homemade. I grew up on these dinners and always make a point to stop in when back home.
The cafe is always clean and simply decorated with great old pictures of Onawa's past. Take a stroll down memory lane the next time your in Onawa. -

Excellent roast beef. A nice quiet clean and friendly restaurant. I had gravy on my sandwich. The service is really quick. The architecture of the towns building is very unique. A must stop if u r hungry.
Across the street is Burgess Auxiliary Thrift Store. You must go in and make a purchase it helps the local hospital. The volunteers are wonderful so help them out and make a donation. -

Great diner food, reasonable prices and serving sizes. Our server was first efficient but secondarily when time permitted friendly. It's a busy place and efficiency is more important. A nice relaxing stop close to the freeway.

Stopped for breakfast, blueberry pancakes had real blueberries! Coffee was ok, not very strong. It's about 2 miles off the Interstate in a small town. Parking is strange, It's like a frontage road on both sides of the main drag. We laughed when a lady at the gas station said they get a lot of "coffee-ers" there. Very clean, & wide-open dining area. Clean & spacious restroom. Large portions, I got 5 strips of bacon, & my husband's hash browns were shared.
